An indie ‘supergroup’ now immersed in, among other genres, disco’s dizzy delights, Holodrum were formed by the late Hookworms with friends, including VIDE0’s Emily Garner. On this mini-album, a debt to LCD Soundsystem’s aisle-crossing party policies explains No Dither and Free Advice, the latter full of playful synth breaks and a wacked-out melody, while Stage Echo is a darker affair. They probably won’t last much longer than the eight-minute Clean, whose unstoppable energy closes affairs, so ‘Dance Yrself Clean’ while you can. WW
