During the holiday season about a decade ago, I had to come up with a gift to give my nephew on short notice. So I extracted a single high-grade rare coin from my collection of PCGS- and NGC-certified gold coins hand-picked by two friends, legendary coin experts John Albanese and Scott Travers. I now enjoy giving beautiful U.S. gold coins to close family and friends for the holidays; it means more than giving some easily forgotten bauble or yet another Amazon gift certificate.
