UNITY OF OPPOSITES. The open, formal kitchen and dining room create one elegant space with both traditional and modern features.

When Linda Vitale and her husband, Neal, moved to California from New York City 27 years ago, they brought with them an assortment of furniture that captures the essence of Cape Cod style. “I grew up on the East Coast as did my husband, and we spent summers in Nantucket,” Linda says of the roots that influenced them when choosing this new space. “When we were newly married, we would go to auctions and farmhouses and just buy pieces of furniture that caught our eye,” Linda says. Those timeless furniture pieces have stayed with the couple through multiple moves and now bring a touch of the East Coast to this California home.
