when you’ve purchased eight villas in such a deep state of decay that they are slated to be torn down? That is the question Sara McDaniel of Simply Southern Cottage asked herself when she took on the task of restoring The Villas at Spanish Court in Minden, Louisiana. Built in 1931 as state-of-the-art apartments, they were abandoned in the 1980s and destined for demolition until Sara envisioned them as short-term vacation rentals.
