PHOTOGRAPHY BY Ana Ochoa
For her holiday décor,
Ana sought to keep this area a little more pared down with artful touches like a small tree and pinecones, both displayed in vintage vessels. “This spot is opposite our more formal dining room, which has our main tree and book wall,” Ana says. “Since that part of our home is busier, I wanted to balance that out visually with more simplicity here.”
San Diego California, is sunny year round, but that doesn’t stop Ana Ochoa from transforming her space into a cozy home for the holidays each December. And if anyone is up for the challenge, she is! She is the owner of Fiddle Leaf, LLC, blogger at fiddelealfblog. com, and a home design consultant for local clients (on top of her day job as an attorney). Though she doesn’t have an official background in interior design, she says, “I have always been creative and crafty, so when my husband and I bought this home three years ago, it was a natural transition for me to explore my artsy side. I knew I needed to decorate our space on a budget, so I started learning how to DIY everything.”
