Shelves were made from wood reclaimed from an old cabin on the property, and the area is used both in the mornings for breakfast and in the evenings for cocktails. “We paneled the dishwasher and the fridge, and then created this great little breakfast bar area for coffee and toast in the morning and drinks and appetizers in the evening,” Emily says.

WATER VISIONS. A sitting room off the kitchen didn’t change in terms of footprint but was brought to life through the new furnishings. “For this room, we clad the fireplace bump out in beautiful Ontario granite, brought in a striped rug, new coffee table and side tables, ordered Pottery Barn slipcovered chairs to match the existing sofa and designed a pillow scheme that drew on the Hamptons water-blue vision our clients wanted,” Emily says.
