Still-life generates interest at auction

Blue Scarf by John Pawle – £880 at Wright Marshall.

Wright Marshall (21% buyer’s premium) featured this still-life by John Pawle (1915-2010) in its sale on October 28 in Knutsford, Cheshire.

The artist, whose work has performed well on the secondary market over the last decade, painted still-lifes and landscapes in a vivid Impressionist style.
