First published in the UK by Jonathan Cape in April, 1954, Live and Let Die is the second novel Ian Fleming (1908-64) wrote featuring James Bond.
Fleming penned it at his Goldeneye estate in Jamaica before his first book, Casino Royale, was published.
A first edition, with a first-impression dust jacket, will be offered in a sale of books, maps and photographs at Edinburgh auction house Lyon & Turnbull on February 14.
