Chinese porcelain resumed its traditional dominance among the Oriental offerings at Tennants (20% buyer’s premium) in Leyburn.
Top-seller on March 17 was a 9½in (24cm) tall Guan-type mallet vase, pictured left, catalogued as probably Yuan or early Ming period (mid-late 14th century). The vase came with an old provenance and was estimated at £18,000-25,000.
