Festive call-out for RNLI

LIFEBOAT crews were out on Christmas Day to help a broken down fishing vessel in the Kilbrannan Sound between Lochranza and Skipness.

Tighnabruaich inshore lifeboat reached the scene around 20 minutes after being launched, but found the fishing boat too large to tow to a suitable port.

Campbeltown all-weather lifeboat was deployed to tow the vessel to Carradale harbour.
