LOCHGILPHEAD Golf Club gents played for Nicky’s Cup, a two-round competition in memory of Nicky Ciarella, during the last weekend in July.
Ryan McGlynn was delighted to win the event, with David Sinclair finishing close behind.
Last weekend saw the gents play another two-round competition in wet conditions, this time playing for the Centenary Cup. Winning on this occasion was Ross Sinclair, with Jim Hunter a close second with only three strokes of a difference. Some brave souls played in this competition, as well as in the James Mundell Memorial Open in Tarbert, where Alex Mac- Aulay from Lochgilphead took second place with a net 66.
