One of the reasons why so many people hesitate to go into front-line politics is that some folk think that being in political life gives one carte blanche to say anything they like about you. The poison pen letter from a ‘Bobby Whitacre’ is a case in point.
Despite living in Glasgow, he moans about SNP posters on display in Arran but, of course, not those of any other party. In fact, across Scotland all parties display posters at election times, if they can find people to put them up.
