Budding Arran artists are in for a treat when a drawing workshop, using skills from the late Joan Eardley’s work, will take place next month, followed by a play on the artist’s life and work.
The free workshop run by The Thrive Archive, which is a creative community research project set up by collaborative artist Jan Bee Brown with story at its heart, is entitled After Eardley and explores the joy of drawing portraits of children at speed. Simply take a photo of a wee one to inspire you and an old shirt or apron to wear, and they will provide all the materials.
The workshop will take place at the Corrie and Sannox village hall on Wednesday May 10 at 2pm followed by the play called Joan Eardley – A Private View at 8pm.
