Community land in garden club meeting spotlight

The Garden Club welcomed Pippa Downing to their October evening.

Pippa gave them an excellent presentation about the Arran Community Land Initiative in Whiting Bay.

She explained about how it was established in 2013 with the aim of advancing education, training, skills and to advance public participation in recreation. She then told us about the purchase of the 80 acres of disused farmland, the funding and the ongoing plans for the area.
