New terminal has to be evacuated

Travellers were evacuated from the new Brodick ferry terminal last Friday owing to a fire alarm.

Two fire appliances and a police unit attended the scene of the new terminal shortly after 3pm when a fire alarm was activated after reports of a strong smell of electrical burning towards the rear of the building, which houses the biomass boiler.
