High school pupils enjoyed a Great Green Day hosted recently by a collective of environmental and community groups. Organised by Arran Community Land and Eco-Savvy, and funded by the Climate Challenge Fund, the event aimed to increase awareness of climate change and environmental damage.
After having viewed a screening of the climate change film, Before the Flood the previous week, the children were forearmed with a great deal of information and background to the issue, which Participants take part in carving wooden coastal way signs with Marvin Elliot. they used to tackle the activities at the Green Show to look creatively at ways of reducing their own carbon footprints.
