Summer dining on Arran

The Douglas Bistro offers a modern yet classic take on Bistro style dining, we like to say ‘a refreshing simplicity but with serious intent’ Along with his team, our new head chef Steve Wood, uses seasonal and fresh ingredients, sourced (whenever possible) from Arran and Ayrshire. Classic dishes with surprising twists and established house favourites can be enjoyed in our Bistro - with our understated décor and impeccable service combining to ensure a memorable dining experience on Arran.

The Douglas Bar always offers a warm welcome and, we think, one of the best views on the Island Our whisky, sprits and drinks list is continually evolving and now boasts many fine malts and speciality gins from many parts of Ayrshire and Scotland (though we do have to confess that we do have a wee preference for the Arran Malts) we serve food from 12noon until 9.30pm each evening, from home baking, sharing platters and a extensive menu using many of Arran’s local and artisan suppliers – there really is something to suit all tastes.
