Arran flat closes at Crosshouse Hospital

Arran families and patients have voiced dismay at the news the relatives accommodation at University Hospital Crosshouse, known to many as the Arran flat, is to close its doors early next month.

The decision was taken because of the dilapidated state of the building, however, the chief executive of NHS Ayrshire and Arran John Burns has issued a reassurance alternative accommodation will be provided.
