The Arran Hawking Club once again held its annual meeting earlier this month with visitors from the Scottish Hawking Club attending the event.
Now in its 20th year of hosting the visitors, local hawkers Ian Struthers and Murray Boal have been reminiscing on how things have changed since that first visit when members brought across their large birds of prey standing on the deck of the ferry as they made the crossing.
Making the visit was an African crowned eagle bred and flown by Andrew Knowles Brown.
