New visitor centre opens

The Community of Arran Seabed Trust (COAST) is once again demonstrating its pioneering spirit with the opening of its – and Scotland’s first – Marine Protected Area visitor centre.

Taking place today (Saturday) between 1.30pm and 4pm at the Old Pavilion in Lamlash, the official opening ceremony will be between 2pm and 3pm with various other activities planned throughout the day.

Named the Octopus Centre, the opening will also coincide with the 10th anniversary of the iconic Lamlash Bay’s No Take Zone.
