Parents and dog owners on Arran are being warned to look out for a toxic plant being washed up on beaches.
Hemlock has washed up on local beaches and is poisonous for humans and animals.
North Ayrshire Council has confirmed that hemlock water dropwort, also known as poisonous parsnip, has been swept up on Lamlash beach and may be found on other beaches on the island, with an unconfirmed find on Kilpatrick beach.
