Arran author Tony Black launched his latest book at Brodick Library last Thursday.

Before signing copies of his new novel Summoning the Dead, he held an entertaining question and answer session with John Divine acting as compere. He spoke not only of his new book, which is the third case for Ayr Detective Inspector Bob Valentine, but also his inspiration, writing style and his other non crime work. He also read extracts from the new novel. Published by Black & White Publishing, it could not be more relevant to today’s times as it is inspired by a real life, shocking child abuse case in Northern Ireland, but is set in Ayrshire.
