ON a weekend when sport remembered “The Greatest”, Mo Farah further cemented his claim as Britain’s greatest ever athlete.
After the 9000-strong crowd took part in a minute’s applause for the recently deceased Muhammad Ali and following Farah’s own startline shadow-boxing tribute to his idol, the double Olympic champion delivered another knockout performance as he broke David Moorcroft’s 34-year-old UK record for 3000m.
