THE MANAGING director of CalMac has signalled his decision to step down from the company, in the wake of a vessel hitting a harbour last month.
One of the West Coast’s ferry service provider’s ships ran aground at Lochmaddy Marina in North Uist last month with 76 passengers and crew on board, none of whom was injured.
Just over two weeks later, managing director Martin Dorchester announced his intention to step down from the company at the end of March 2017.
