FESTIVE runners helped a MACC base business’s first Santa dash raise money for the Royal Hospital for Sick Children. More than 60 youngsters took part in the SOS Fitness event on Saturday December 3. There were three events: the Snowman Stroll, for the under-fives and their families, Reindeer Ramble for primary school children and the full Santa dash for the over-12s. The event raised funds as a thank you to the Schiehallion Ward where Kintyre boy Kurt Smiley has been receiving treatment. Kurt and his sister Kahlan went along and helped Santa start the races. The sum of £474 was raised and will be donated to the hospital. Kurt and Kahlan with Santa in his sleigh.
