Sir,

I am researching an author called Monica Hutchings, who wrote numerous books, both factual and fiction, mainly about the West Country, published from the 1940s to 1970s.

In her later years she lived at Carradale and, in fact, it is reported that she tragically drowned in the sea near there in March 1977.
