A DESCENDANT of the Italian café proprietor who ran an establishment known as the ‘Low,’ was surprised to see it described as Hell’s Kitchen in the Courier of April 7.
Back in the 1950s there were three Campbeltown Italian cafés the others being the High and Middle.
Ronald Togneri said that the only Hell’s Kitchen he had heard of is a neighbourhood on the West Side of Midtown, Manhattan.
