CAMPBELTOWN Pupils Youth 2005s (Under 13s) proved their dedication to the beautiful game by spending last weekend’s break from league action travelling to play on Islay.
The youngsters were ferried overseas to the southernmost of the Inner Hebrides islands to play a friendly against Port Ellen Juniors.
This was the young Port Ellen side’s first game of 11-a-sides and they played well against the more experienced Pupils. Unfortunately, the game was hampered by a strong wind which made it difficult for either side to play much football.
