There’s a very lively and regular
classic vehicle pub meet
scene deep in the Derbyshire
Dales and I’m always amazed at
the number of interesting cars that
turn up at these informal gatherings.
During the summer months there’s
a meeting every week at a nearby
village pub and the other evening
just under a 100 vehicles turned up
at one regular monthly gathering,
despite the odd drop of late
afternoon rain threatening to spoil the
evening’s proceedings. The range
of vehicles on display at this packed
pub meet was amazing and it’s the
fact that nobody really knows what
will turn up on the day that makes
these events so interesting.
This well-attended event is
just one of several in the area
organised by a team of hard working
individuals who give up a lot of their
spare time to make these regular
gatherings a success.
