Following Roxy Music’s majestic reunion tour, Bryan Ferry’s 1993 covers album is back out on vinyl. It sounded out of step with grunge in 1993 and still exists happily in Ferry’s own orbit, as versions of Will You Love Me Tomorrow and The Velvet Underground & Nico’s All Tomorrow’s Parties are given equal panache. More esoteric choices would be welcome – even Ferry adds nothing new to Amazing Grace – but it’s as classy as you’d expect and sole new song Because You’re Mine is an atmospheric vista of Bryan suddenly going Depeche.
