Dear Diva, I’m a writer, but for years I’ve had to work as a waiter to make ends meet. I recently had one of my books published and although I’m not making much money from sales it’s so exciting to finally achieve one of my dreams. I’m hoping it will be the first step in a long literary career. All of my friends know of my years as a struggling artist but one of them is being very vicious of late and making snide remarks. He says these things sarcastically, but I feel there’s something malevolent at play. I’m left feeling shocked, hurt and confused because we’ve always been good friends.
“Kick that tired, jealous bitch to the curb. Next!”
