Mike Tucker’s association with the Doctor Who Experience began before it even moved to Cardiff. “More than five years ago, when it opened in London,” he explains, “I was taken to the store where they had monsters left over from the previous exhibitions at Blackpool and Longleat. We assessed which ones could be made fit for public exhibition. In that first batch we included an Ice Warrior, the Robot [from the 1974-75 story of the same name] and a Zygon. When the Experience moved to Cardiff, it concentrated on the new episodes – but, since the 50th anniversary, there’s been more interest in the interest in the older ones.”
