With over 80,000 sales in the bag, Yamaha’s love for the middleweight MT is easy to understand. For 2018, it’s getting a thorough makeover to help bolster future sales, with an all-encompassing facelift forming the most major of mods. Bolder headlights, a new fuel tank design and MT-09-style air intakes give the ‘07 a sharper look, while a new, larger seat unit is set to improve the model’s comfort levels.
Handling characteristics have also been pimped as the front forks now feature revised settings for a sportier ride, aided by the rear shock’s gaining a rebound adjuster so riders can alter the setup to better suit their demands. The 74bhp CP2 goes unchanged, as does the frame and general persona of this head-banging beauty.
