GET READY FOR SPRING
It’s mid-January – the gyms are full, and lycra-clad runners and cyclists are everywhere, all trying to shed the excesses of Christmas! Yet is there really any better way to stay fit, both physically and mentally, than by getting in the garden? What’s more, we’ll be doing it all year long too, and won’t give up by early February! Gardening is proven to lower blood pressure and cholesterol levels and reduce the risk of heart disease, diabetes and strokes, while spending time outdoors reduces stress levels, too. Sometimes it feels like a secret we should keep to ourselves but it’s better to spread the word and tell more people to get in the garden. Have a great, and healthy, week.
