GET BUSY IN THE GARDEN
The Galanthus ‘Imbolc’ beautiful hybrid snowdrop is distinctive by its separate green basal marks as well as the usual ‘V’ shape at the apex. It’s named after the Gaelic festival that marks the start of spring. The sight of snowdrops defying the weather and emerging in the cold is enough to gladden even the saddest heart. we have been privileged to see clumps growing around one of the most famous trees in the UK – the one under which Sir Isaac Newton was sitting when an apple fell and led to him figuring out the laws of gravity. The tree itself is a remarkable, gnarled specimen that has defied centuries; to see it, and ponder its significance, is really quite something. And all around it are snowdrops, announcing the fact that spring is on the way, time to get busy.
