No: 27 Panti's Noble Call
by Stephen McCabe
For me, Panti’s Noble Call is one of the most effective pieces of oratory I’ve ever heard. Set against the backdrop of Pantigate, the shameful situation that ensued after Panti’s alter ego, Rory O’Neill called certain pundits homophobes on the The Saturday Night Show in January 2014, the speech sought to reclaim the definition of homophobia which was in danger of being hijacked by homophobes.
