RECENT RESEARCH BY SPORTS RETAILER DECATHLON reveals more Brits are choosing to swap the sun-lounger for a pair of trainers on holiday. The results suggest sedentary beach holidays are losing popularity, with only 14% of Brits opting to do as little as possible on holiday this year. Instead, one in three of us plans to exercise two or more times per week while away. Reasons given for the increase in activity over the summer months included having more time and feeling more motivated. Swimming was the most popular activity choice for holidaymakers, with almost one-third of us going for a dip while away. Running was the second-favourite activity, with 14% of us donning our trainers on holiday.
