As I watched my partner pour pasta into a pan with gay abandon the other night, it hit me how far we’ve gone beyond healthy portions. And, once a meal is cooked, it’s hard to resist going back for seconds. So when nutrition editor Amanda Ursell started compiling our new guide to portions for weight loss, the team were riveted and relieved. It’s so good to see that we’re ‘allowed’ a healthy serving of carbs – several a day, in fact. But one portion size doesn’t fit all. I’m considerably shorter/smaller than my partner, so I need to eat a good deal less or I’d be the size of a house! I’ve learned to do this over the years.
