The practice of chanting is an Indian tradition that dates back thousands of years and has been passed down through generations. Today’s practitioners suggest that the particular collection of sounds that send vibrations through your body can help to counter modern challenges like long working hours, reliance on technology and a lack of downtime, because it’s said to provide us with qi (pronounced chee) or energy, helping us feel positive, in control, and physically and mentally recharged. Chanting can quiet a stressed mind, and re-energise it, too.
