HOSCAR season – how to find a great hostel at the right price

THIS MONTH News & Views

Why not choose a hostel for a budget trip to Italy?

For anyone seeking a budget-friendly break, hostels are a great option – and the swanky options available these days are a far cry from the sparse dorms of the past. To celebrate today’s wonderful diversity and quality of hostels across the world the annual ‘HOSCARs’ (Hostelworld Customer Annual Ratings) honours some of the best. This year, two impressive Italian hostels scooped HOSCARs in Hostelworld’s awards: The 5 Terre Backpackers hostel in Liguria was awarded the Best European Hostel title, while Wombat’s City Hostel in Venice took the top slot for Best New Hostel Category. See the full list of winners at www.hostelworld.com/hoscars
