PAINTERSONLINE and SAPIENZA TRAVEL COMPETITION

PaintersOnline, the online home of Leisure Painter and The Artist has teamed up with Sapienza Travel to offer you the chance to win one of six places on a painting masterclass with artist Tim Wright at his studio in Clerkenwell, London, from May 18 - 22, 2018, worth over £525 per person

Tim will guide you through the basics of technique and provide the opportunity to investigate your own potential, whether you are new to painting or eager to develop your existing practice. Tim will also take the winners on focused-guided tours of London’s galleries, explaining the technique and practice of leading artists including Caravaggio, Tiepolo, Turner, Degas, Manet and Sargent.

The aim is to give you a taste of the atmosphere and creative context of the artist’s workplace and a ‘hands-on’ experience of their practice, explaining methods, materials and historical context. The physicality of this process will give a more direct connection to the artist. The best part of the day is spent painting, with breaks for discussion and refreshment. A full range of the necessary tools and materials will be provided, as well as appropriate life-models and props. The masterclass is structured so that, in addition to a series of studies and exercises, you will have a painting to take home. Your prize will include all painting materials, a travel card, breakfast and lunches.
