Miami—Haitians and some of their supporters gather in front of the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services oice in Miami on May 13 to urge President Donald Trump to extend a temporary regulation that allowed them to stay in the United States, where they led after the 2010 earthquake that killed some 300,000 Haitians. Around 50,000 people have taken advantage of Temporary Protected Status, but now they fear Trump may allow it to expire in July, meaning they could be deported. A decision is due by May 23.
