Wacky Packages rank among the most popular trading card lines of all-time, and the market for some of the earliest cards can get extremely competitive. Case in point, a 1967 Wacky Packages Die-Cut Moron Salt card netted $5,747.70 in October through a Mile High Auctions sale. Graded PSA 9 Mint, it’s just one of two copies to get that grade by the company with none higher.

Moron Salt is one of a handful of cards from the 1967 Die-Cut set, which are the very first Wacky Packages that didn’t appear again when the line got its full start several years later in 1973. The massive price for the card can be attributed to its grade. By comparison, there are 23 PSA 8 NM-MT copies. Multiple copies of these have been sold publicly this year with the highest going for a little more than $200.
