A FORMER Scotland captain fulfilled a life-long ambition when he visited Claggan Park for the first time.
Fort William Football Club stewards were stunned when former Scotland footballer Asa Hartford paid his way through the gate. Mr Hartford mingled with supporters in the stands and chatted with players as the team hosted Fraserburgh on Saturday.
According to the 50-times capped, former captain of Scotland, it has been a long-held ambition for him and his friends to catch the Fort in action. Unfortunately, it was not the performance Mr Hartford or the club were looking for, but the board was happy to welcome the Scotland legend to Claggan Park.
