TOBERMORY’S pantomime Alice in Wonderland, under director Barbara Weir, played to packed crowds at the Aros Hall this week. The performances were organised by the North of Mull Amateur Dramatic Society, which has a long tradition of pantomime in Tobermory. This year there were spectacular costumes by Marie Robertson and her team. The ‘youthful’ cast was led by 13-year-old Satchi Ortchison, who played a faultless lead role of Alice. Cast members also included Kerry Froud, who played a high maintenance Queen of Hearts. Scott Thompson played the classic pantomime villain as 'the knave', while Shona Reade gave a hilarious performance as Wally. The stunning backdrops were designed by Helen and Brian Swinbanks and the music was provided by the Broad Band.
