THE FIFTH annual Wild Lochaber festival kicked off on Saturday with Go Wild on the Canal, a night of activities and races at the Banavie Basin.
Kilmallie Community Council, Lochaber Beekeepers Association and the Woodland Trust had stalls at the event, which was organised by Scottish Canals and the Scottish Waterways Trust. Spean Bridge-based confectioner Crazy4cocoa had hand-made chocolate for sale.
On the water, there were canoe and rowing races, the highlight of the night being the Davy McCook raft race held in memory of the former detective constable who died in a road traffic accident in 2014.
