THE HIGHLAND Council has revealed it is facing a potential £187 million budget gap over the next five years.
At a full meeting of the Highland Council today (Thursday June 29) councillors will hear of the £130 million to £187 million gap facing the local authority.
In a report to the Highland Council, finance director Derek Yule said: ‘While this is not an absolute position it does demonstrate a significant and worsening financial position.’
