Julie Fowlis, left, joins pupils and teachers from Iona Primary School after giving a ‘magical’ performance in Iona Abbey on Monday. On the right is the school’s Gaelic tutor Janet Campbell.
Monday morning saw children invited to Iona Abbey to hear Julie Fowlis’s Gaelic songbook. Julie won a Traditional Music Award for her work on Disney film Brave in 2012. Julie invited the children to join almost 200 tourists to listen to her work. She was on Iona as part of a National Geographic cruise around Europe.
