THE Crinan Canal is known as Scotland’s most beauti ful shortcut and was a feat of engineering and design when it was built in the late 18th and early 19th century.
It runs between Ardrishaig and Crinan and was created as a shortcut between the Clyde and the Inner Hebrides.
