As Great Britain crossed the line to crown a marvellous season in the men’s eight with a win on the beautiful blue waters of Lake Aiguebelette, the South American sun hung new in the sky. Far away across the Atlantic, Rio awaits. The final countdown for the 2016 Olympic Games has begun, and with it comes a hugely exciting period for our sport.
Before we get too caught up in Olympic hysteria, it’s worth noting that the largest regatta in the world will be played out this month in the vibrant city of Boston. The 51st edition of the Head of the Charles will take place on the 17th and 18th of October, and local resident Elizabeth Diamond has cast her eye over proceedings for us.
